Go Organic with Potts Point Cafe in Eastwood Mall

Holla! If you are looking for a healthy restaurant to dine, I found one in the heart of Eastwood Mall. Located at the 2nd floor Veranda of the mall is Potts Point Cafe owned by dynamic duo chefs, Chessie Guerrero and James Torres, and features healthy and organic dishes for all.

First is what are organic foods? Well for everybody's information when you say organic these are crops that are grown without the conventional method of farming. The farmers use natural fertilizers to feed soil and plants. Organic method of farming are designed to encourage soil and water conservation and reduce pollution.

At first, I was hesitant to try the organic food but hey, it tastes way way better than I expected. Let's have a run through my visit.

The place.
Cafes and restaurant now have a trend when it comes to their design of their dining area. I can see chalkboards, mugs, books, and all. It is relaxing. The place will really give you a homey feels. I just love the theme of the restaurant. Well, hue of brown pleases me so well and makes me feel relaxed. The place is great for intimate gatherings of friends, family, colleagues and more. So if you want to relax while you smell the vibrant scent of coffee inside the restaurant, head on to Potts Point!

Homey feels!!

Potts Point!

The food.
When people hear organic, they go crazy because they are afraid the taste might go wrong. Not with Potts Point since the owners are culinary experts so expect super yummy organic dishes! I tried almost 10 of their dishes and man, I really went crazy. I went crazy not because the taste was wrong but the dishes are heavenly made.

Roasted Organic Butternut Squash with Organic Bacon and Cream Cheese Ravioli (Php 190)

What I love about this dish is that it really looks not-so-yummy but when you tried it, boy it's really good. I was surprised about its taste and never expected that it is that heavenly in my palate. It's a good starter when eating at Potts Point so to say.

Mixed Organic Rocket Salad with Glazed Walnuts, Pears, Parmesan Shaves, Dried Cranberries, and Raspberry Vinaigrette (Php 230 solo / Php 430 sharing)

The Mixed Organic Rocket Saladwith Glazed Walnuts, Pears, Parmesan Shaves, Dried Cranberries, and Raspberry Vinaigrette tastes really good especially with the glazed walnuts. I just love munching nuts side by side with green foods. It reduces the farmy tastes of the dish. LoL!

Organic Fried Buttermilk Porkchop with Apple-Maple Bread Pudding and Herbed Mashed Potatoes (Php 345)

I tried many mashed potatoes in many restos but I can say that Potts Point's are above them. I just love how mushy their mashed potatoes are and the Pork chop goes well with the pudding and gravy.

Seared Australian Grass-Fed Beef Pie with Mashed Potatoes and Garden Salad (Php 345)

The Seared Australian Grass-Fed Beef Pie with Mashed Potatoes and Garden Salad is also good. The beef is so tasty and goes well with the mashed potatoes. To complete the dish, garden salad was added in the side. So organic!

Fried Organic Mushroom Risotto Balls with Creamy Tomato Puree (Php 220)

This is one of my favorites in Potts Point. A surprise center awaits the one who will get a bite of it. I love these balls plus the tomato puree gave an accent to the taste of the Fried Organic Mushroom Risotto Balls.

Organic Roasted Chicken Fillet with salsa Verde, Mango Cream, Yoghurt, and Quinoa-Red Rice Salad (Php 335)

This dish Organic Roasted Chicken Fillet with salsa Verde, Mango Cream, Yoghurt, and Quinoa-Red Rice Salad is also one of my favorites. Since Dok Tour is on a diet, I prefer eating red rice. The chicken fillet tastes yummy and it is tender. One pack of a healthy organic dish!

Strawberry, Kiwi and Cream Cheese Crumpets with Hot Chocolate (Php 230)

Although I am not a fan of berries, the cream cheese crumpets went well with it plus the hot chocolate where you can dip the crumpets. Well, I am a fan of cheese in whatever form it may be. So this is a plus! Love it!

Butterscotch Budino with salted Caramel and Diamond Sable Cookies (Php 160)

I have nothing much to say about Butterscotch Budino with salted Caramel and Diamond Sable Cookies. It was OK.

Oozin Ozzie Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream (Php 230)

This Oozin Ozzie Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream is also a favorite! The chocolate cake was superb! I love sweets. Apparently, this dish is sweets overload which I love! The incorporation of the chocolate cake with the vanilla ice cream blended well. Highly recommended! :)

Potts Point also serves coffee. That cozy feels of their restaurant will really go well while drinking coffee.

The Affogato (Php 115)

Two scoops of vanilla ice cream plus a shot of hot espresso. The bitterness of the espresso plus the sweetness of vanilla ice cream made The Affogato a must-try. I just love the way it tastes. Good in keeping somebody awake. :)

They also cater latte, iced coffees, espressos and many more.

Hot chocolate (Php 140)

Latte (Php 130)

Thanks Potts Point and Wazzup Pilipinas!
