Chef Lau's Pugon Roasters at Mckinley Hill

When I hear the name of Chef Lau, I always think of gourmet dishes. Dishes that are prepared with high sophistication and quite expensive for the commoners like me. Talk about sophistication in presenting dishes, I would bring up Chef Jessie's name. I am a fan! Anyway, I am also a fan of Chef Lau. I have known him since the bistro days. His name has been recognized in different media platforms because of his passion to foods. Now in his pursuit to invite the people from different statuses, he put up another restaurant called Pugon Roasters.

The place.

Chef Lau's Pugon Roasters

Large menu by the entrance

The moment you enter the restaurant, you can really smell the inviting aroma of the food they are serving. It is really inviting! The smoky smell is intoxicating for me though you can't see smoke anywhere inside the restaurant, just the smell of it.
Menu

The cooks are quite busy that day because there are lots of patrons ordering. Long queue indeed!

The food.

Cakes!! #Foodporn!!

I always love to eat sweets. I love cakes! I seriously want to try everything here but I might have my tummy growl so I only tried 2 out of the displays here.

Quezo De Bola Cheesecake - P 138

Blueberry Cheesecake - P138

Yes! I love cheese! All of it are cheesecakes! Quezo de bola is good. Although there is an umay factor because the cake itself is already cheesy. I would rate this 8.5 out of 10 because I enjoyed eating it. For the blueberry cheesecake, sorry not sorry, it did not meet my expectations. I don't want to comment bad about it so try it for you to figure out. 6 out of 10, though!

Pugon Roast Chicken - P99

Pugon Roast Chicken is one of their bestsellers. You have the option to choose what part of chicken will be served to you so I chose the breast part. The chicken is flavorful even without any sauce. I love the taste of it and is not too oily to eat.

Smokey Chicken BBQ - P99

Unlike the Pugon Roast Chicken, the Smokey Chicken BBQ is quite saucy. It is like the one served in Mang Inasal. I am quite impressed on how they prepared the meal because in some restaurants, there is still a bloody part in the chicken that is not well-cooked. I would commend this resto for that. The chicken are well-cooked.

Spaghetti

The description in the menu is "Spaghetti in Rich Tomato Meat Sauce and Creamy Cheese". And Anna of Frozen was like .. " OK, BYE"..

Kalderetang Mac - P89

Now, this is the most interesting dish I ordered from their resto. The Kalderetang Mac. Guilty as charged, I am a lover of cheese. So I tried this dish without any idea what really it is. Kalderetang Mac is baked macaroni and mashed potato with cheesy kaldereta meat sauce. I would rate it 9.5 out of 10! It is really delicious! I love it! For P89, you'll have the chance to eat a worth 300-500 dish! Panalo!

My top 5 Dish from Pugon Roasters.
5. Spaghetti
4. Smokey Chicken BBQ
3. Quezo De Bola Cheesecake
2. Pugon Chicken Roasters
1. Kalderetang Mac
